Again, a recurring pattern. The only crimes that are recognized are those dealing with the holocaust, not the ones that are happening under our noses now.
Abstract:

Nov. 9th witnessed two parallel events in Amsterdam. One demonstrating against the land-grab wall, and the other commemorating the Kristallnacht event. The latter was well covered by Dutch print/TV media, the other one was ignored. Even though the producers of TV program contacted the organizers of the Palestinian event, they never invited them to the program.

» NOVA, one of the most respected news shows in the Netherlands, on Friday, approached the organizing committees, asking them to provide a speaker for the late Saturday evening show, which would feature the Israeli Apartheid Wall. When they were contacted, they were faced with questions centered around the issue of the other manifestation on the same day, namely that of the Kristallnacht. When asked if they found it problematic that both manifestations would be on the same day, and in the same town, they replied: 'we fully support the commemoration of the Kristallnacht, it being a crime of the past against humanity, just as the Apartheid Wall is a crime of the present against humanity'.
However, at the last moment, they were told not to bother to come to the studio. The speaker for their groups had suddenly been replaced by Harry de Winter, co-founder of the Dutch progressive Jewish group "A Different Jewish Voice". Despite the fact that Mr. de Winter did a fine job at lecturing his pro-Wall opponent, who was a member of the Dutch Likud Party, NOVA's dismission of the pro-Palestinian speaker meant that the Palestinian voice was effectively silenced.
The only explanation that was given, was the fact that NOVA 'found the internal Jewish discussion on the subject more interesting'.«
