Zvi Shtauber

Dr. Zvi Shtauber is (2005) head of the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies

Until late 2004, Shtauber served as Israeli ambassador to the United Kingdom, prior to which he was a policy adviser to Prime Minister Ehud Barak. Between 1996 and 1999 he was vice president of Ben-Gurion University. In his military career, Shtauber, who earned the rank of brigadier general, was head of the branch for strategic planning and filled several leading tasks in Military Intelligence. He represented the IDF in negotiations with the Palestinians, the Jordanians, and the Syrians.
