Mohammed Khalil Aburish (1909-2005), called Abu Said after his eldest son, Said K. Aburish, was born in Bethany, Palestine, the third son of the village chief, Khalil Aburish. He became the "grand old man of the Time Beirut bureau", where he worked for 37 years until his retirement in 1989.
