Zalman Amit

Zalman Amit, born in Palestine, is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the Center for Studies in Behavioral Neurobiology in Concordia University, Montreal. He is the author of four books and over 300 articles. He was one of those academics who were brave enough to ask to be added to the list of people who were being targeted by Campus Watch

Amit was born in Palestine and spent the first fourteen years of his adult life as a member of Kibbutz Hakuk

Ann Sutherland-Amit was his wife.

Since retirement, Amit has lived in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, where he relaxes by practising wood-turning -- see here and here.

Amit's father left Palestine to join the International Brigade fighting against Franco in the Spanish Civil War and, afterwards, joined the British Army to fight in World War II.
