Curtis Doebbler

Curtis Francis J Doebbler is an American international human rights lawyer who has lived or worked in more than 50 countries. His latest book (2004) is International Human Rights Law: Cases and Materials.

He was (2002) Professor of Human Rights Law at American University in Cairo. He had served as an advisor to the Taliban on the laws of war. He has provided legal advice to the Palestinian Authority but is barred from returning to the occupied territories by the Government of Israel. He was (2004) visiting professor of international human rights law at Tashkent State Institute of Law, Uzbekistan.

He was (2006) an attorney to Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
