David H. Price

David H. Price is Chair of the Department of Cultural Anthropology & Sociology at St. Martin's College, Lacey, Washington.

Born in Seattle, he attended Evergreen State College (where Rachel Corrie was a student) from 1979-1983. He studied Near Eastern archaeology and the history of anthropology at the University of Chicago, receiving an MA in 1984, and then attended the University of Florida, studying anthropology and Arabic, receiving a PhD in anthropology in 1993 from the University of Florida.

He is the author of Cold War Anthropology: The CIA, The Pentagon, and the Growth of Dual Use Anthropology (Duke University Press, 2016) and Weaponizing Anthropology (CounterPunch Books, 2011).
