Sir William Edwin Brunyate KCMG ... educated at Kiugswood School, Bath, and at Trinity Coll., Cambridge (B.A. 1888, Fellow 1890-6, M.A. 1892), and called to the Bar at Lincoln's Inn 1894, entered the Egyptian Civil Service 1898, was Legal Adviser to the Egyptian Government from 1903, Judicial Adviser from 1916 (Acted as Financial Adviser 1917-19), and Legal Advisor to the British Residency from 1915 ... a Grand Officer of the Order of the Osmanieh and had the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Nile
