Yehezkel Dror

Yehezkel Dror was born in Vienna in 1928 and migrated to Palestine in 1938. He is an emeritus professor of political science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He served for two years as a senior staff member of the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, California; directed the Strategic Studies Section of the Davies Institute for International Relations at the Hebrew University; and is a member of the International Institute of Strategic Studies and of the Club of Rome. He spent two years with the Israeli Ministry of Defense as Senior Policy Planning and Analysis Advisor, was a consultant of the Israeli Cabinet Office and advised several Israeli Prime Ministers.

An Israel Prize recipient (2005), he is the founding president of the JPPPI (Jewish People Policy Planning Institute), (established by the Jewish Agency for Israel).

He was a member of the Winograd Commission
