Muhammad Ibn Isma'il al-Durazi_(Darazi) (9xx-1018/9) ... Persian ... Some authors say that he was one of the most important founders of the Druze da'wa, the other being Hasan al-Farghani al-Akhram[1]. However, others say that the Druze do not consider al-Darazi a founder of their faith - in fact, referring to him as their "first heretic" - and that rival Muslim groups purposely attached the name of the controversial preacher to the new sect Whatever the case, Druze refer to themselves as al-Muwahhidn (monotheists).
