Hasan Sa’id al-Karmi

Hasan Sa'id al-Karmi, originally from Tul Karm, lived in the Qatamon area of Jerusalem and worked in the Education Department during the British Mandate period in Palestine. After the nakba, to earn a living, he had to go into exile in Britain, where he worked for the Arabic service of the BBC. He died in May 2007, in Amman, where he had been living for many years.

Ghada Karmi is his daughter.
