Thomas F. O’Dea

Thomas F. O'Dea came to UCSB in January 1967 as a professor in the departments of Religious Studies and Sociology and as the first director of the Institute of Religious Studies. O'Dea worked closely with Robert Michaelsen and other faculty in Religious Studies in developing the proposal for a graduate program. O'Dea died in November 1974.
