Moshe Sasson was Ambassador of Israel to Turkey (1960-66) He was next (1967) the director of armistice affairs at the Israeli Foreign Ministry[1]. On 21 November 1967, Levi Eshkol appointed him as "the prime minister's representative for political contacts on the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem"[2][3]. He later served as Israel's ambassador to Italy (1973-77) and its second ambassador to Egypt (19811988).
