Event #5251 General chronic harassment: Israeli occupation forces invade Palestinian towns, suppress demonstrations, at least 15 Palestinians kidnapped

Brutality of the Israeli Occupation Army

• The Israeli Civil Administration along with Israel Antiquities Authority protected by the Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) raided Kufeirat village southwest of Jenin city and photographed some of the village's houses and historical areas. The IOA checked citizens' ID cards and questioned some of them. The house of Ahmad Abdel Haj Hammad was photographed. Wafa (April 20, 2012).
• A number of Young Palestinian residents suffered gas inhalation as the Israeli Occupation Army )IOA) fired gas grenades at them during its raid to a number of Palestinian communities in Jenin Governorate, Al Fanduqimya, Silat Ad Daher and Jaba'. Wafa (April 20, 2012).
• The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) raided Zabada village southwest of Jenin city, spread its forces in the Olive groves of the village near At Tarem village. Wafa (April 20, 2012).
• A Palestinian shepherd, Yasser Kaabneh (18 years), has been seriously wounded by Israeli gunfire while tending to his flock north of the city of Tubas in the northern part of the Jordan Valley. IMEMC( April 20, 2012)
• The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) suppressed the weekly peaceful demonstration that was held in Kafr Qaddum village east of Qalqilyah city and demands for the opening of the village's eastern entrance which have been closed for more than ten years. The IOA fired live and metal bullets at demonstrators. Journalist Naser Shteyya suffered Gas inhalation during the demonstration in addition to a number of Palestinians and International activists. • The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) closed the entrance of Al Ma'sara village south of Bethlehem city and hindered citizens and vehicles from coming close to the Wall area. Palestinian citizens clashed with Israeli soldiers. Wafa (April 20, 2012).
• The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) suppressed the weekly peaceful demonstration held in An Nabi Saleh village against the wall and settlements. The IOA fired gas bombs and sprayed houses with wastewater. In addition, the IOA attacked women and children participating in the demonstration; as a result, resident Muhammad Al Tamimi and the photographer Hilmi Al Tamimi were injured. Israeli Arrests

• The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) arrested resident Sami Barham (29 years) at Al Container checkpoint southeast of Bethlehem city on his way back to his village, Kafr Qaddum east of Qalqilyah city. Wafa (April 20, 2012).
• The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) arrested two Palestinian residents from Ash Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem city allegedly for stabbing a settler in the area. The two Palestinians were taken to Al Maskobiye detention center west of Jerusalem city. Wafa (April 20, 2012).
• The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) raided Zeef village, Al 'Arous and Ruq'a areas in Yatta town south of Hebron city and arrested three Palestinians from. The arrestees are: Muhannad Issa Abu Sneid (25 years), Saed Mahmoud Awadallah Daoud (27 years) and Thaer Mahmoud Awadallah Daoud (25 years). Wafa (April 20, 2012).
• The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) raided Beit Ummer town north of Hebron city and arrested resident Ala Musa Hasan Awad (22 years). Wafa (April 20, 2012).
• The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) arrested journalist Bilal Al Tamimi from An Nai Saleh village, beat him and broke his camera while documenting the Israeli violations against land and people during the weekly peaceful demonstration that takes place in the village. The IOA also detained an Activist from Nazareth city and some other Israeli activists. Six more international activists were detained and photographed and were threatened of participating in the demonstrations that take place in the village of An Nabi Saleh. Wafa (April 20, 2012).
• Many Palestinians and International activists suffered Gas Inhalation as the Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) suppressed the weekly peaceful demonstration that took place in Bil'in village west of Ramallah city. Wafa (April 20, 2012).

Israeli Settler Violence

• The Israeli settlers attacked resident 'Ali Muhammad Hasan Hreizat from Yatta town south of Hebron, causing brusies in all his body parts. Wafa (April 20, 2012).
