Brutality
of the Israeli Occupation Army
- The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) attacked Iyad Al Haddad near Kharsina settlement east of
Hebron city and beat him. Mr. Al Haddad suffered from bruises in most of his body parts. Al Quds
(May 18, 2012).
- The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) raided a number of Palestinian houses in Tequ' village east
of Bethlehem city under the pretext that some Palestinians hurled stones at Settlers' cars driving
on the Israeli bypass road that passes through the lands of the village. No arrests were reported.

- Two Palestinians were injured with rubber bullets during clashes between the Israeli Occupation
Army (IOA) and Palestinian citizens at Ofer military camp. PNN (May 18, 2012).
- The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) closed At Taybeh old checkpoint, near Kherbit Jubara, which
is used by Palestinians of the 1948 lands to enter/leave Tulkarem and hindered Palestinians from
returning back to their villages inside the 1948 Lands. Wafa (May 18, 2012).
- The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) suppressed the weekly peaceful demonstration held in Al
Ma'sara village south of Bethlehem city against wall and settlements and hindered Palestinian
citizen from reaching the Village's main road and the confiscated lands. Wafa (May 18, 2012).
- Three Palestinians, an International activist and tens of demonstrators suffered Gas inhalation
as the Israeli occupation Army (IOA) suppressed the weekly peaceful demonstration held in An Nabi
Saleh village in Ramallah Governorate. The IOA fired rubber bullets and Gas bombs and wastewater
against demonstrators. Among the injured Palestinians, Wa'ad Al Tamimi (15 years) and Waleed Al
Tamimi (16 years) were known. The IOA also raided the village and randomly fired at Palestinian
houses and properties which caused damages to the windows of Atallah Al Tamimi's house and lands
were set to fire as a result. In addition, the IOA closed the village's entrance and declared the
village as "closed military zone. WAFA (May 18, 2012).
- One Palestinian was injured and many suffered Gas inhalation as the Israeli Occupation Army
(IOA) suppressed the weekly peaceful demonstration held in Bil'in village against wall and
settlements. The IOA fired Gas bombs and rubber bullets at demonstrators which caused the injury of
Citizen Jameel Al Khateeb (21 years) in his leg. Wafa (May 18, 2012).
- The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) suppressed the weekly peaceful demonstration held in Kafr
Qaddum village east of Qalqilyah city against the closure of the village's main road. The IOA
occupied the roof tops of some Palestinian houses, fired gas and sound Bombs at demonstrators which
led to the injury of Palestine Satellite Channel reporter, Shamekh Al Jaghoub. Wafa (May 18,

- The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) obstructed the visit of a Pakistani Sport delegation to the
Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron old city. Wafa (May 18, 2012).
Israeli Arrests
- The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) arrested the released Prisoner 'Aref Khaled Fakhouri from
Jaba' village south of Jenin city, confiscated his computer device and two mobile phones without
justification. The IOA questioned Mr. Fakhouri who spent 28 years in the Israeli jails along with
his family members and stationed on the roof tops of the nearby Palestinian houses. It is worth
mentioning that prisoner Fakhouri was released from the Israeli jails during the Shalit Prisoners
swap deal. Al Quds (May 18, 2012).
- The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) arrested Hani A Julani, a Palestinian with special needs,
after raiding his family house. The IOA released Al Julani after detaining him for six hours. Al

- Israeli Special Forces arrested Ahmad Faysal Ma'ali (22 years) from Ad Duheisha refugee camp
and took him to unknown destination. PNN (May 18, 2012).
- The Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) arrested Three Palestinian citizens form Azzun village east
of Qalqilyah city. The arrestees are: Sameer Shbeita (14 years), Muhammad Saleem (14 years) and
Omar Hussein (16 years) and took them to unknown destination. Wafa (May 18, 2012).
- The Israeli Occupation Authorities renewed the administrative detention of Muhammad Karam
Nassar Al Qadi (40 years) from Jenin city for four more months. It is worth mentioning that Mr. Al
Qadi is a member of Jenin Municipality council. Wattan TV (May 18, 2012).
Israeli Settlers' Violence
- Around 40 Israeli settlers staged into Halhul town's park (Mar'iya) north of Hebron city. Al

- A group of Israeli settlers hurled stones at Palestinians in 'Yaqeen' area in Bani Na'im
village east of Hebron city and assaulted them. Al Quds (May 18, 2012)
- About 1500 settlers entered Joseph's Tomb in Nablus, guarded by the Israeli military. The
settlers performed prayers in the Tomb until the morning before withdrawing escorted by the army. A
large force of the Israeli army was in the area extensively blocking roads between Ramallah and
Nablus. IMEMC (May 18, 2012).
- Dozens of Jewish settlers invaded the courtyards of Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, and performed
"religious rituals" amid tight security by the Israeli police. The invading operation was
accompanied by a Minister of the Israeli government, in addition to a TV crew which filmed the
several corners of the mosque and its courtyards. The new invasion to the courtyards of Al Aqsa
Mosque occurred after the announcement by Jewish groups of a programme of celebrations for the 45th
anniversary of the occupation of the two parts of the city of Jerusalem. IMEMC (May 18, 2012)
- Tens of Israeli settlers of Avnei Hefetz settlement practiced religious rituals on
Shufa-Tulkarem road which resulted in the closure of the road and hindered Palestinian cars from
