Note:
Amka is a moshav in the Matte Asher Regional Council of Israel's North District, near Acre. It was founded in 1949 by a group of Yemenite Jewish immigrants. The name comes from the Palestinian village of Amqa that was in the same spot and which was ethnically cleansed by the Israeli army in 1948.
